What is the March on Washington?
About itThe March on Washington was a huge protest with some 250,000 people in August 1963. They gather in front of the Lincoln Memorial. It was also called the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. The purpose of it was to raise awareness of the challenges and discrimination that the African Americans face.
